Raleigh, NC
I'm currently looking for a part-time job for the Charleston in the summer or online for the year. I also am looking for an internship in graphic design for the winter/spring semester of 2009.
What I want to do most in life is to design using the computer. I would like create graphic designs for such things as brochures, promotional posters, invitations, and similar productions. I love to work with the Adobe Programs, but am very willing to learn new skills and programs that your company may use. My main objective is to work with a company where I would be able to create such things.

Experience
Radioshack

Here I learned about electronics, power tools, and computers in order to relay that information to customers that may need help. I also sold and learned about wireless phone technologies and worked with many different types of people.
Bath and Body Works
Dec 2006 - March 2008, Wyoming, PA
Sales Associate
I worked here seasonally, during the store’s two big semiannual sales and when I’m needed while I’m home on break. I learned more about lotions and fragrances than I ever expected and can now help anyone choose the right scent. The most important things that I learned were how to talk to a customer and help them without coming off as a pushy sales associate. I also learned how to work as a team to get things done quickly and efficiently.
Offset Paperback

Book Packer
I packed books from 11 P.M. until 7:30 A.M. I work 37.5 hours a week and learned to recognize many different types of book covers and what can go wrong when they are printed, by having to keep an eye on them so no bad ones went through. The textures of the covers as well as the types of covers and materials made a big difference when creating the books.
Joan Harris Center
May 2006 – Aug 2006, Dallas, PA
Desk Worker and Teaching Assistant
I learned a lot at this job. As a desk worker I kept books, took payments and attendance and cleaned the studio. When I wasn’t working at the desk I assisted some of the dance teachers in their classes. I helped choreograph and also made sure the kids stayed in line and followed the teacher. Both parts of the job helped me work with people of all ages and situations and the dance aspect helped me with presentation and design using contrasting shapes and movements.

Mobil Gas Station

Cashier
Here I took care of the cash register, the lottery, and closed up for the evening. It was my first job so it was a learning experience of how to work for and with new people as well as being able to run the station on my own since very often only one person was working at a time.
